Do-over: FA Cup game to be replayed because of referee error

What happened

Woodford Town's 2-1 FA Cup qualifying win over Mulbarton Wanderers has been voided after the referee made a technical error on a first-half penalty. Woodford scored from the spot, but the official disallowed it for encroachment and then wrongly awarded Mulbarton an indirect free kick instead of the goal or a retake. An FA panel ruled the tie was not completed under FA Cup rules and ordered it replayed in full. Mulbarton called the decision deeply disappointing and warned it undermines the finality of results.
